Courts Payment Plan Update: Pay-by-Text reminders for payment
INVERNESS, FL. Clerk Angela Vick strives to incorporate convenience at every opportunity for Citrus County citizens. One such convenience is the new text messaging notification for customers who are on payment plans. When setting up a payment plan, the Personal Data Form provides the option to select yes or no to the following:
“I consent to receive information via email/text from the Clerk’s office regarding this payment plan and that standard message and data rates may apply. I understand that it is my responsibility to make my payment even if a reminder is not received. I also understand that I may opt out of the text message program at a future date.”
This will allow our system to send you a text message with payment reminders, and a link that will take you directly to the payment center to complete your payment to avoid additional fees and possible suspension of your driver’s license. It is Clerk Vick’s goal to help customers remain in compliance.
Customers may also receive a pay-by-text notification directly from one of our collection agencies, Municipal Services Bureau (MSB). This is a legitimate notification if you have past due court fines and fees.
As always, Clerk Vick encourages you to reach out to our office if you have any questions or concerns about communication you receive from our office. You can contact our office anytime at 352-341-6424 and select option 8 to reach the Payment Plan division. There is an option to leave a voicemail if you are contacting our office outside our regular business hours, Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (excluding holidays).
